is it even worth waiting for a reply, this server seems dead and hasn't recovered since original owner passed away...

We usually have about 80-100 Players online. 

 

As far as your issue, what operating system do you use? Do you have anti-virus?

I'm using regular antivirus. As far as OS I have a legion i5processor 7400 cpu with gtx 1050 ti

Assuming you're using windows. Move the client to your desktop, Right click on it and click open with and then select Java SE.

 

As far as your AV it could be preventing you from downloading the cache.

 

Make sure you delete the whole NR file, including the cache and redownload and try what I said.

Also Run the program with Administrative privileges if you aren't already.

Should fix your problem.

its never going to recover fully but ye we're making progress

Is there anyone who can take time and help me with this issue? Haven't had time to fix it yet. I'd appreciate it alot . I'm open for discord voice if that's easier.

Try this.

Uninstall current Java.

Delete everything you've downloaded from NR.

 

Reinstall Java.

Redownload Near Reality.

Open gamepack.jar

 

Post results please.
