Depends if you want to learn more backend languages (Java/C++/Python) or front end languages that focus on websites (JS, React - JS, Angular, PHP, ETC...) go to UDEMY and look up courses for the specific language you'd want to know more about. Then buy the course when its on sale, you can get 200$ courses for like 12-20$ sometimes.

Yeah I'm more interested in the actual creation of the game. I'd like to learn about it all on a basic level but I want my specific focus to be in Java.

Thanks man, I'll have a look into it.

U should learn web development first before learning game development with Java. Theres a lot of general skills and techniques you can learn from making websites. To be frank, I don't think it is plausible for a beginner to dive into rsps development and not be grossly overwhelmed with advance programming topics.

Whatever you decide to get into, you should start by watching some udemy courses.

Best of luck with programming.

You can try the following resources:

- Youtube is a great resource. type something like " Javascript" for beginners

https://scratch.mit.edu/ its targetted for ages 8 to 16. But all ages are welcomed to use it and its totally free.

- code.org is another free website.

Hey Liverpool!

Glad you've decided to take up programming! I started my programming journey writing OSRS bot scripts. I found that working with a game I am familiar with really helped to accelerate my learning. One tip that I found incredibly helpful is to never blindly copy code. Figure out what the code snippet does first. Tweak it a bit to change the behavior. THEN, implement the code in your program.

Let me know if you need additional help!

Learning programming through rsps is the wrong thing to do.
